Dear Selman,

Herewith a copy of a report we have received from the Admiralty, on the Rolls Royce 40 mm. gun.

If, in future, you would let us know when a boat is about to be launched, we would send a man down to give the gun the attention which will be necessary after it has been standing.

We are most anxious that these guns should at least start their life with a 100% chance.

Yours sincerely,

Dictated, but signed in Mr. Robotham's absence.
