Y3646 THE GENERAL ELECTRIC CO.LTD., 34/35, Moor Street, BIRMINGHAM. W&V/H/466 Oct. 10th 1927. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, Derby. Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of the 7th inst. RXY5/MG, we note that you are returning here on your order R.6021 of the 7th inst., Rectifying valve. Immediately this valve is received here it will be returned to our Works for report, although we would remind you that the approximate useful life of a valve is normally one thousand hours and as the valve in question has been in use for a period of ten months, this time has probably been exceeded and we cannot think that our Works will make any allowance. However, pending our Works report and in order to save you unnecessary delay, we are despatching to you under separate cover one of these U.S. valves, for which we shall be glad to receive your covering order in due course. We shall be glad to hear that this action will meet with your approval. Yours faithfully, | ||
