In my opinion the 8set in" (i.e. nearer centre line of chassis) position of levers which will soon be standard, is very suitable. I still consider the side brake lever is too far forward when in "off" position. In one car (1711 Singer) we fitted steering column in "C" and the levers in "D" position which I thought an improvement. we have a car (1804E Farmer) in hand which has "C" column and short levers in "D" position; we will be able to see how this plan works.
