There is plenty of evidence coming forth finding fine hairs of aluminium in the float chambers of carburetters taken down for modifications. --------- A feature which should be taken up with Stromberg is the manufacturing process of the jet body and altered if possible. The body is turned and the jet seating formed, afterwards apparently the last operation is to mill the slot for the petrol aperture. In doing this a burr is left on the inside which can very easily affect the seating of the jet. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} <- SLOT MILLED | ||
