B 11/3 To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Cricklewood. Oct. 22nd. Plug Trouble. I had a lengthy conversation with Mr. Clark at Kingsbury this morning with regard to plug trouble and the use of Ethyl. It appears that when he went to the Motor Show, he had an interesting conversation with the representative of Champion Plugs. The question of lead fuels and failure of plugs has been receiving a great amount of attention by the Champion Plug Manufactures, both at their works in Canada and in conjunction with the Ethyl Corporation in England. They came to a conclusion that a deposit was formed on their previous plugs and on mica plugs in particular which caused misfires. They claim to have overcome this trouble. They are going to supply two sets as samples to Mr. Clark for test. He has promised to letme have these plugs which I propose to try out on a 30 H.P. which is giving us the most trouble. One set I will forward to the Works. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/G.W.Hancocj. | ||
