REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS.

With reference to BJ7/S26919, the position stands as follows:-
We had arranged petrol tanks etc. so that the 75th. chassis would be suitable for fitting rear shock absorbers when they were tested and available. Our tests on the Shock Absorbers are not yet completed and we are not in a position to standardise them in accordance with the usual procedure. I understand from Mr. Royce, however, that he considers this one of the cases in which special permission should be obtained from Mr. Royce and CJ. for the standardisation of these parts without completing the regulation procedure in connection with standardisation. We are therefore preparing what information we have in order to put the matter before R.{Sir Henry Royce} and CJ. for this purpose.
