Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of yesterday's date, referring to our letter and quotation with regard to Autothermic Pistons to our print AP.122, and are pleased to note that any afternoon at 2-30 would be suitable for a discussion, providing we advised you before hand which day the writer would propose to call.

We would accordingly suggest either Monday or Wednesday next, the 8th or 10th inst. would be suitable at 2-30 as stated by you, and we should be pleased to know which day would be the most convenient to you.

With regard to the question of the piston protruding from the bore at 'bottom dead centre', we have noted this point and while agreeing that this is rather an exceptional amount, we do not anticipate that any serious trouble might be expected, particularly on account of the close fit between the cylinder and the piston skirt. However, we shall be very pleased to discuss this in detail during the proposed interview, and we return the print you forwarded, as we believe this is the only copy in your possession.

Awaiting your comments at your convenience.

Yours faithfully,
FOR THE BIRMINGHAM ALUMINIUM CASTING (1903) CO LTD.
