CRANKCASE. SWDL{Len H. Swindell} Referring to EPS.2/VS.{J. Vickers}7.3.38. the fundamental change that has taken place seems to be the use of a new box spanner, of which we have only just been informed. We think we should have been informed much earlier. If the Works want this spanner, we can, as it happens make a modification to the wall of the lower half of crankcase, which will enable it to be used, and attached is E.CD.541, which shews what we propose, and the resulting clearances. Detail and pattern may be altered to this as soon as convenient, as the new bottom half is, of course, interchangeable with existing bottom half. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
