LID{A. J. Lidsey} X 317. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} ROY{Sir Henry Royce}5/MG21.11.33 You will recollect some months ago it was provisionally agreed with Mr. Eckford, of Messrs. S.Smith & Sons Ltd, that when they had a Jacking Set ready, with Cast Steel Brackets and general improvements on the one previously offered, we should be prepared to consider fitting such a set to our 40/50 HP. Chassis. They now have a set ready, and are asking if we can arrange to send a Chassis to our Repair Department, Cricklewood, so that their people can conclude the necessary arrangements for fitment. I gather it was suggested that, seeing we might fit such Jacking set to one of our latest type 40/50 HP. Chassis, it would be advisable to send it to our own Repair Department, Cricklewood, and so keep the improvements on such Chassis secret as far as possible. Kindly advise. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
