RECEIVED SEP 30 1930 X8305. Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} C. Ha. Br. {T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /G. 30.9.30. PHANTOM 1 - FABRIC ENGINE COUPLINGS. ------------------------------------------ Although I was inclined to think we had not modified the Phantom 1 coupling from the type which was failing anywhere between 20,000 and 50,000 miles, I found upon investigating the position that we had already issued to Repair Dept. a new form of coupling fixing using large rivets and cover plate in place of the screws some 2 to 3 weeks ago. I mention this to prevent misunderstanding arising as the result of my remark. BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} P.S. THIS CANCELS OUR MEMO BY1/N30.9.30. BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
