TO M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} SECRET. ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}9/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}21.3.31. X235. COPY TO [REDACTED] HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} SHOCK-DAMPER PISTON. We send herewith N.Sch.3262 shewing the piston revised in accordance with R3/M.17.3.31. We have shewn the inlet valve incorporated with the piston so that the same piston can be used for the new damper. On existing dampers, in order to make the two halves of the piston equal and yet not over-run the hole for the lever, we have slightly twisted the square hole in the lever.
