JOURNEY TO LONDON IN 9.B.V - 13/14.1.42.
--------------------------------------

During the journey to London the engine failed completely. The trouble was eventually traced to lack of sparks due to one of the little spring steel clips holding on the distributor arms having come off and permanently completed the circuit to earth.

This was rectified and no further breakdown occurred. The engine is noisy and the gear change heavier than B.V should be. The handbrake ratchet does not function well.

Four gallons of petrol were added.
