X878JL To Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/FHA. from EFC. c. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. Mr. Strong (Repair) EFC3/T4.10.27. RE BATTERIES. Referring to your Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/FHA1/K5.9.27, it would be interesting to know, if possible, how many of the batteries referred to (if any) are of our present standard types of 40/50 and 20 HP. batteries. Experimentally we have as yet had no case of failure of any cells of any such batteries. If any of the batteries referred to by you are of the latter types, it would be of great value to us, in respect of further development of batteries generally, to have full particulars of the failures.
