X356 Cone Clutches (Re stapled fabric) TBB5/L22812. Mr Platford 22.8.12. With reference to the last paragraph of the attached note addressed to you from Mr Royce and dated August 19th, the Drawing Office were instructed concerning a clutch having the fabric attached by means of staples only, on July 29th, but during my absence on holidays they discussed the matter with Mr Nadin and misunderstood him to say that the clutch having the fabric attached by means of staples only should be held up until the fabric with two selvedges had been delivered. This misunderstanding was cleared up on my return and a drawing despatched to Mr Bailey for his criticism on July 14th; This was confirmed by Mr Bailey on July 16th and the details have now been made and will be issued to the shops today. The clutch should be ready very shortly. | ||
