Re: Chassis 24-EX. - Paris Trials Car.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has been enquiring regarding the steering of the above car.

I understand that a copy of Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}'s memo. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}, Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}4/E120.11.31, was sent to you.

In a memo. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}5/E110.3.32, Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} says:-

" The position in regard to the steering of this car is as stated in my memo. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}4/E120.11.31, that is to say there is no improvement."

I understand Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} was talking to you recently regarding the new spring shackle referred to as a "shimmy" shackle, and that you are going to send this device to Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} to see if it will improve the steering of 24-EX.

Will you please let me know when you expect to be able to despatch the parts, and will Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} let us know when he is able to fit them and what the effect is?

WRS.
