Re: Chassis 24-EX. - Paris Trials Car.

Replying to Whr{Mr Wheeler}3/D15.3.32.

When Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} was at Derby yesterday the question was raised as regards the policy of fitting non-standard parts to Trials cars.

The flexible shimmy shackle is not yet standardised and we do not expect a 10,000 miles test to be completed for at least two months. Even when this is done, we shall not expect to fit this on to existing cars only in very exceptional cases.

We would like you to take up with Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and get him to instruct definitely that he wishes to send the shimmy shackle out for this car.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair},
