Sir Bernard Eckstein. Chassis GHG-27
---------------------------------------

With reference to Br.2/LS.15.10.37, I called on the above owner this morning to ascertain how the Cleveland bronze clutch facings were behaving.

The owner said that the car has been given very little use since October when the work was done, and has indeed only covered about 400 miles. He says he is now without a chauffeur but has promised to advise us later in the year how the clutch is behaving. So far as he knows, the car not being in London at present, all is well.

I explained to him how important it was to be quite sure that there was ample free movement of the pedal, and not to drive the car if this was all taken up.
