ROUGH SKETCH OF THE WILMOT-BREEDON BUMPER. DESIGNED TO ELIMINATE RADIATOR MOVEMENT.

SILENT BLOC RUBBERS TO WHICH SPRING IS FITTED TO GIVE ABSOLUTE FLEXIBILITY

WEIGHTS MOUNTED EITHER END OF SPRING THE TUNING OF WHICH IS ADDING OR REMOVING WEIGHT, ACCORDING TO AMOUNT OF JELLYING TO BE COUNTERACTED.

4" DEEP BUMPER, THE ENDS OF WHICH ARE COILED TO FORM WEIGHT CASINGS

FLEXIBLE SPRING, FLEXIBILITY OF WHICH IS GOVERNED BY AMOUNT OF 'RAD' MOVEMENT REQUIRED TO CHECK.

WHEN THE FRAME RISES ON EITHER SIDE THE RESPECTIVE WEIGHT BEING SPRUNG TENDS TO HOLD THE FRAME IN POSITION. IN OTHER WORDS THE MOVEMENT OF THE WEIGHTS IS OPPOSITE TO THE FRAME THUS COUNTERACTING. JELLYING. MOTION.
