Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x1086 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}E.Ox. [Text Struck Through] Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/E9.7.35 We obtained delivery the other day of the Packard which you wanted. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} and I took it out yesterday evening for a little run and on the way back a noise suddenly developed in the engine. It sounded very much as if a gudgeon pin bearing had come out. After putting in an extra quart of oil we were able to drive home slowly. This means that the car will have to be sent to the Service Station for attention, after which it will be sent to you. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
