Y 4659 S/W. {Sales / Derby Works} Py/Blb.3/PH.9.3.33. To Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Py/Blb. Copy to Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} RE: Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 6/MJ.8.3.33. We have received the above with enclosures and will this morning hand your letter to Mr. Tweedie. With regard to Ethylene Glycol, we suggested to Mr. Tweedie yesterday that he should give us a contract for work on the 6-cylinder engine. He was very definite, however, that he would prefer you to carry out tests on a complete engine. Apparently he is fully alive to the opposition he is likely to meet from another Department, but informs us that he will have no difficulty in getting an engine allotted for these tests, provided the programme which you submit is sufficiently attractive. He will be glad to receive your proposals as early as possible and if you will send the letter here, we will take it in by hand and see that the matter is followed up. Py/Blb. | ||
