ADJUSTMENT OF THE RR. FOUR WHEEL BRAKING SYSTEM.

The places for adjustment of the system are:-

(1) REAR BRAKES.

The serrated adjustment on the cam operating levers.

(2) FRONT BRAKES.

The serrated adjustment on front cam operating levers.

(3) SERVO.

Serrated screw adjustment on the end of the servo shaft.

These are the only adjustments provided and should be used for such. Under no circumstances should adjustment be attempted by altering the lengths of any of the rods as this will interfere with the correct functioning of the system.

REAR BRAKES.

Indication that adjustment of the rear brakes is required is readily observed from the pedal travel in exactly the same way as on the standard RR. cars. There is no hand adjustment at the side of the frame in this system. Adjustment is made by the serrated adjustment on the cam operating levers and should be moved the number of notches which will allow .625" movement at the end of this lever. There should not be less than this movement. For the correct adjustment of the rear brakes (i.e. .625" at the end of the 7" lever) the pedal should move approx. 1.15" after it has taken up the clearance in the servo.
