noted that the carbon brush spring does not always work smoothly which suggests that these springs are slightly over-size and therefore do not exeAero Enginert much pressure on the brush.

The combined effect is to prevent the brush from autom-atically adjusting itself for wear thereby causing arcing to the slip ring which gradually gets worse as the brush and pick up burn away.

The faulty pick up is handed to you for replacement.
