RR 238 (100 BKS.) (RH {R. Hollingworth} 87-20-8-26.) MP 324356 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To E.Y.B. Order No. WB {Mr Brazier / Mr Bell} 112 Customer's No. X 8796 Faulty H.T pick up off Watford E06 magneto on 5EX. We have had a further case of failure due to the collector brush sticking up in the H.T pick up; on the Watford E06 magneto fitted to 5EX. This failure we consider to be due to oil leaking from the rear end bearing on to the slip ring which flings it off centrifugally on to the collector brush. This oil amalgamating with the carbon dust causes a sticky paste which clogs the carbon brush in the H.T pick up. We have also Signed contd This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
