We shall be glad if you will correct these two instruments and re calibrate the rev counter so that the same is not delivering slow at a temperature of 30°C. We pointed out to Mr.Arrowsmith that we desire this instrument to be on the fast side even at 30°g.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} rather than slow.

We very much regret that we did not observe the fault of the speedometer when Mr.Arrowsmith was here and we shall be glad if you will have the same corrected and the instruments returned to us with the minium delay.

We would like you to incorporate on the rev.counter the red segment between 4500 and 5000 R.P.M. We also confirm having handed to Mr.Arrowsmith a 20/25 speedometer in which the revolution counter has worked loose.

It was arranged that you would modify the fixing of this rev counter so as to prevent the same from working loose and at the same time fit an experimental new graduated scale proposed for this instrument and return the same to us in order that we may check it and advise you with regard to the cliche accordingly.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED..
