Your Reference: Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Les.3/JH Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. For the attention of Mr. J.A.Leslie. Dear Sirs, In reply to yours of the 25th inst., we have passed your letter along to our Head Office at Birmingham, and they will reply to your queries regarding prices. Mr. Thacker will be calling upon you to discuss this question, but we should like to point out that the "P6" Unit, which was sent to you as a sample of construction, is only 1¼" bore and is not capable of giving the Ball Pin Load which you usually require. It will therefore be necessary for you to compare the prices of the "P7" size, if you are thinking of sufficient damping for your present car. In comparing the prices of telescopic and lever operated types, the balance is slightly in favour of the telescopic type as a unit, but when the brackets are included for the latter, there is very little difference in price for a given amount of damping. Yours faithfully, LUVAX LIMITED, H.W. Pitt (Handwritten note) Writ Pitt re Count of small Dumper R. {Sir Henry Royce} 6. | ||
