DATE Mon.25th Oct.1937.

Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

For Attention of Mr.Leslie.

Dear Sirs,

We despatched to you yesterday the first set of Shock Absorbers to your Order No. 49489.

We would also confirm that we experienced a good deal of trouble in connection with the castings machined by your goodselves.

In view of the fact that the Shock Absorbers were assembled, we were unable to accurately check the depth but there was definitely a discrepancy in depth to the extent of about .050".

We had to overcome this by fitting a longer spring push rod, and we trust that you will have the other castings carefully checked against drawing in this respect.

Yours faithfully,
p.p. ARMSTRONG'S PATENTS CO LTD.
