GOSHAWK BEATON son ALL-WEATHER BODY. Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}17/LH{Mr Haworth}22.2.23.

We are entirely in agreement with your suggestion of reviving our interest in this type of body and think it would be an excellent thing to get one of the latest designs. We do not consider, however, it is worth while adding a new top to the existing body we have. The body is one of the first made and the dimensions inside the body are all wrong. The front seats are narrow and the rear seats are too high. There is a nasty ugly-looking tool box which overlooks the back tank and which has been condemned. The wings and valances are not of our design. We think it would be a pity to waste time and money on the body which we know has these obvious faults, because no matter how perfect a job was made of the head, the body as a whole would be severely criticised.

Our recommendation is that the new top Beaton's have offered to supply to replace the existing one, should be made to fit a body which is correct as regards dimensions. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} is aware of the all the criticisms with regard to the present body and we think that if he could get out a sketch of a body which would comply to R's requirements, it would be a good thing.

We should be pleased to hear what decision is arrived at with regard to this matter.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}
