Chassis 9 G.III.

We wired you this morning, as follows :-

" NEARSIDE REAR SPRING BROKEN HAVE RECEIVED "
" ONES FROM PARIS TESTS BEING CONTINUED - "
" HANCOCK "

We ordered two rear springs to Drwg. F.53172 - 900 lbs. from Paris. They sent us these springs by the next train, but these are made to Drwg. F.51908 - 900 lbs. The only difference we can see in these springs is they are the old type tie clips, instead of our present combined leaf and clip. We were only delayed two shifts, so resumed running this afternoon.

G.W.Hancock.
