Dear Sirs,

Boyce Electric Clock No. 601.

This clock was ordered from you about August last to our blue print D.72992/3/4/5 (being of slightly smaller diameter than that of three further clocks Nos. 619, 662 and 696 and subsequently ordered from you to our blue print D.72988/9/90/1). Upon receipt the clock was duly tested on the bench and operated entirely satisfactorily. The clock was then handed over to be fitted to one of our experimental cars, but previous to doing this the circuit breaker incorporated in the clock was short circuited as this was considered unnecessary. The clock ran for a very small mileage on one of our 20 HP. chassis after which it was removed and fitted to our Managing Director's car, the date of this being about 3.11.30. From that time onwards until recently it has run on that car but a few days ago the clock was received back by us with the following report :-

"From the time it was supplied until the week ended 21st inst. it was quite satisfactory in use with the exception that it lost about 3 minutes per week.

It was never removed from the instrument board and, therefore, was only subject to normal treatment such as a clock receives when fitted to one of our cars.

The chauffeur informs me that the clock stopped before the hand setting knob broke off
