-2- E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/MN. 2nd. March, 1937. mounted on the lower wishbones of the front suspension. To enable you to do this we enclose herewith prints of Lec.4891, Lec.4911 and Lec.5193, showing the present rear jack of Phantom III so mounted and also the layout of the piping. As there are no close limitations to the length of the jack we suggest that you consider in your design a single lift jack, so reducing both weight and cost. In the schemes we send you the position chosen for the jack ram is the only one which clears everything and does not cause the ram to stand on the deformed deflated outer cover. On the receipt from you of these two proposals with their respective costs we would be pleased to discuss again the whole issue with you. Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE LTD., Design Dept. Att:Lec.4891. Lec.4911. Lec.5193. | ||
