To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from EFC. RE CELLS FOR RESERVOIR BATTERY FOR ELEC. EXPL. LABORATORY. Having examined the cell you sent to us, we find the condition of this hopeless. Presumably all the others you have are the same. Therefore we should be glad if you would further take up the question of the set of eight suitable cells for this purpose. We attach copy of a further letter from the Chloride Co., together with their catalogue P referred to therein. On the battery we have, it will be necessary to be able to take fairly heavy current tappings from every cell to cell connection. For this purpose, fairly substantial terminals are required on each of these connections. The picture of the L type terminal in the catalogue is not very good, but so far as we can see it hardly appears suitable. What we like is what we had on the older Exide batteries, upon which the terminal cell to cell connection could be secured under the first nut, and temporary tappings could then be secured under the lock nut. Something of this kind will be required in this instance. E.F.C. EFC. [STAMPED TEXT] Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} JAN 8 RECEIVED | ||
