Dear Sirs,

X.3014. Re Charging from a separate Source.

Referring to your letter of the 9th inst., we beg to advise you that we are enclosing herewith Sample of 2-Pin Plug which is so constructed that it can only be fitted in the Plug Holders in one way.

It is attached to a Battery Indicator which we are sending along as well in case it is of interest to you.

The important fact, however, is that the current should not be reversed in this Instrument, and after your examination of the Plug, we shall be glad to have your opinion as to whether you would apply it for use in charging the Accumulator from a separate source.

If this does not appeal to you, we will modify the diameters of the Pins and Sockets as you suggest.

When this matter is settled, we shall be glad to know how soon you would require the modification to take place.

Re Fuse Holder. We note the sample you have returned is particularly badly burnt, but we do not feel that this is likely to occur under any conditions on the road.

We suggest, therefore, that there is no need to make any modification herewith, and we shall be glad to have your confirmation.

Yours faithfully,
THE LUCAS ELECTRICAL CO. LTD.
