We were informed of this verbally last August but do not know the chassis No or mileage.

We know from rig tests that the early type of Roller Follower had half the load capacity of the present type.

Failures of the balls which we have experienced have resulted in heaviness and crunching noises at first, and about 3/4 turn of backlash after 10 miles or so. We believe that a customer who experienced a failure of this kind would probably abandon his car as unsafe for further use.

We consider that these cases of this failure are sufficient evidence that it is a possibility, and that owing to the serious view which a customer might take of this failure, the modification should be continued.
