Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Swdl. {Len H. Swindell} [Initialed 'Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} ' in red ink] 9.B.V. 15,000 miles trials. This chassis is to be brought up to the specification as for the first 50 production B.V's, in accordance with specification issued in HPS {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} /WSC. {W. S. Cassel} 1/BA.16.1.39. It was stated by HJ and LK. {L. King} that forgings were now delivered and the machining was progressing satisfactorily. 10.B.V. This Chassis is at present at the Coachbuilders having the body fitted. HPS. {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} requested that the date for the return of this car should be ascertained, to enable us to arrive at a completion date for passing same to test fitted with correct details in accordance with the specification. 11.B.V. Specification for the buidling of this chassis is issued. HJ and LK {L. King} were requested to review the position, a tentative date for completion was given for the end of March. PS. to keep in touch with FJH {Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} re the Radiator - Bonnet etc. continued. | ||
