Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
Chapel-en-le-Frith.

For the attention of Mr. Longley.

Dear Sirs,

We are having trouble in service with the Ferodo bonnet strips F.87270/1 and similar strips.

The faults are, scrubbing on the bonnet which causes squeaks and knocks, and the life of the material is not long. It also scores the metal of the bonnet.
Is it possible to produce a material impregnated with graphite, to prevent these faults ?

Will you please address your reply to me at Rolls-Royce Ltd., Claremont Road, Cricklewood, London, N.W.2., as my business will keep me there during this week.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
