BENTLEY REVOLUTION INDICATOR.

Further to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/KT.1.7.33., in which we asked for a red segment to be incorporated on production Bentley revolution indicators above 4500 R.P.M., it is now desirable that we should take the further precaution of making these rev indicators slightly fast.

We recommend this procedure for two reasons :-

(a) The makers do not appear to be able to guarantee their accuracy less than +- 2%.

(b) We must make allowance for a slight negative temperature error with this type of instrument.

Will you therefore please arrange that these instruments shall be ordered not less than 2% fast allowing the makers a tolerance if necessary of +- 2%.
