Smith & Sons Ltd. on the 7th inst. 6 - Speedometers - DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}87. Such Instruments being fitted with hand made dials, such dials being provided with the necessary flatter requested in our letter of the 1st inst. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}4/MG. i.e. 5% up to 60 m.p.h. progressively increasing up to 6 1/2% at 100 m.p.h., which you will recall was agreed to by you personally. Enquiries made in the Inspection Dept. suggests that the Instruments are in keeping with our requirements, and I have been instructed by Roy{Sir Henry Royce} to wire Messrs. S. Smith & Sons to proceed with the necessary Cliche, but before doing so, we shall be glad to have your confirmation that the Speedometers are entirely satisfactory and that it will be in order for Messrs.
