1/66 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}5/MH.{M. Huckerby} 20th. June 1938. Messrs. Donald Sessions & Co. Ltd., 906, Harrow Road, Willesden, LONDON, N.W.10. Dear Sirs, We regret that owing to an error at these works the portable hydraulic jack which is leaking was not sent of to you immediately. It has now been sent to you at Willesden. With regard to the jack on Sir John Leigh's car, when this arrived at the works we tested it and found that it worked perfectly. We have since found that the supposed failure on the owner's car was due to the chauffeur not knowing how to operate the jacks. Perhaps you will also convey this information to Mr. Nichols so that he can tear up the letter we recently wrote him. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
