To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. BJ8/H11.8.24 (Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}) -2- car, 107-MG, which has well worn back springs, and this is being arranged. The Works car, 98-NK, on Friday night was sent to W., where the front wheel brake axle and springs were transferred to the London demonstration landaulet, in order that it might be tested on Monday, the 11th August. On Saturday morning, B.J. wired W. as follows:- "Tests on open cars indicate springing of 98-NK car with-front brakes uncomfortably harsh stop Possibly due to new back springs and nip suggested by Mr. Royce stop Should like to try front brakes and strong front springs and heavy axle on one hundred and seven M G after removal from demonstration landaulet early next week stop Hopeful we may find harshness principally due to new back springs which we presume will become satisfactory after ten thousand miles stop How far have back springs on 98 NK run write London."
