HYDRAULIC SHOCK DAMPERS.

Cricklewood report that no complaints have been received with cars fitted with the split type piston.

RADIATOR LEAKS.

The present production radiators are still prone to leak at the bottom corners, i.e. where the matrix is soldered to the bottom tank. New cars just delivered are leaking.

SERVO JAGGERS & GRABS. INEFFICIENCY.

These are chiefly caused by oil getting on to the fabrics. Present production is not entirely free from this trouble.

STARTER MOTORS.

The Phantom trouble is caused by stickiness due to over lubrication at the dashpot end. Improvements have been made on the present production to overcome this. The latest scheme that is being standardised will entirely overcome any tendency to stick.

TRANSMISSION, REAR AXLE THRUST.

There have been no complaints from cars manufactured during the last twelve months.

TELEGAUGE FAILURES.

Cricklewood reports that customers are fed up with these gauges, and that with all the latest modifications they are still unreliable. The trouble is caused when the tank is completely filled. The petrol is thrown up and enters the air pipe line. There has been no complaint with the Smith gauge.
