The complaints reported are with cars previous to the dented tube radiator.

ENGINE FABRIC COUPLING FAILURES.

This trouble was prevalent prior to the fitting of the latest riveted type coupling. The latter type coupling is giving more satisfactory results but is not trouble-free, and recurrent complaints are beginning to appear after an average mileage of 17,000. This is due to the increased HP. and speed. Cricklewood have had to deal with four of these cases. We have reported upon this to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town.

CLUTCHES.

Jaggers.

The complaints dealt with are all prior to the fitting of the R.A.D. material.

Slipping.

With the Phantom this complaint is prior to the fitting of the R.A.D.1 material.

With the 25 HP. the present clutch slips too easily, and is still one of the complaints. Several of the complaints dealt with are with cars that have the automatic lubrication to the clutch spigot. This is not fitted to the present production.

DYNAMOS.

Cricklewood reports that the chief trouble with the dynamos is the harsh running of the rear ball race which is caused by the oil draining straight through the bearing leaving the bearing dry.

EXHAUST SILENCERS.

Exhaust silencers cosletized have not been in service long enough for Cricklewood to say whether they cure the trouble of corroding. The latest design giving a freer outlet that is now going into production, should considerably lessen the tendency to corrosion.

LOW INERTIA CRANKSHAFT DAMPER.

The low inertia dampers now fitted are giving very little trouble in service.
