This invention is for apparatus for carrying out the scheme of 525,103. The exhaust gases are introduced into a closed long helical conduit having radially deep convolutions. These convolutions are formed around a central pipe which has opening in its wall through which the lighter elements are led back. The heavier elements leave from the end of the conduit.
