10th. November 1937.

Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
Chapel-en-le-Frith.

For the attention of Mr.Longley.

Dear Sirs,

As discussed with you during the writer's visit on Monday, we would like you to make us up three fan belts for test purposes similar in external dimensions to the belt which we are forwarding to you. The dimensions of the belt are as shown on attached sheet and as this belt is not finally standardised for production, there is no piece number or drawing of same available.

However, this belt is one of Messrs. British Goodrich standard products (mould no. 242) and is used by Messrs. Thorneycroft as well as ourselves.

We are sending you one of Messrs. Goodrich belts as a sample of the belt required. Anything you can do to urge delivery of these experimental belts will be appreciated.

The writer would like to take the opportunity of thanking you for the courtesy extended to him at your works during his recent visit.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
