Y4105 To RHC. {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} EFCb/T23.10.25. X.4105 - CUTOUT CONTACT POINT EXPERIMENTS. Further to our EFCl/T14.10.24, the instruction contained in which we hope you will carry out very shortly. We did not mention that it was our intention that the modified arrangements should all be provided with the rigid fixed cutout contact point support. This would automatically follow in the case of distribution boxes on chassis, as these are all so fitted, but as it would appear more convenient to use two distribution boxes which you have in the shop, it will be necessary to fit these with that particular fixed contact point support. What we think we may ultimately standardise will comprise what we have asked for on 9-GIII, i.e. 1. Spring with .150 neck. 2. C Type rigid backing. 3. Rigid fixed contact point support., so that we are rather keen on getting this going. It would we think be as well to have two further such distribution boxes, one of which we have already asked for in our EFCl/T14.10.25 as a sample to send to Mr. Royce. We should like, however, to have a third available for one to be put on one of the new chassis now under construction. This will be possible in view of the fact that you have two spare distribution boxes at the moment. EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} | ||
