- 2 - HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}11/G.21.7.33. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} is giving EY's department particulars, and the Lever will be issued this weekend. Spare Coil. (Item 13). This is not to be fitted on first 15 chassis. Spare points and carrier - 16th chassis onwards. Clip for Rubber Beading round Dashboard. (Item 14). Confirm that clips will be fitted to maintain the rubber beading in position on the dashboard. Two-note Horn. (New item). It is not possible to arrange for two distinct notes to be given by the horn by graduated pressure on the knob, as the connection is made by a wire passing up the centre of the steering column, which only permits of one switch position. Mixture Lever on Steering Column. (New item). A new lever controlled by knotches was handed to HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} - Loc. 3582. We are issuing instructions, and these parts will have to be incorporated on the first 15. Starter Motor Modifications. (New Item). These to apply to chassis after the first 15. Locking Ring on Clutch Trunnion Housing. (New Item). This to be fitted on all cars on which Eft. has not already changed the flywheel. The six or seven which have been changed over will be left unless it becomes necessary to dismantle for some other reason. Wing Stays. The Drawing Office will issue instructions for modified brackets. These will have to be applied to all 15 cars, as the new form of front wing is an essential feature.
