FROM HOPKINSONS LIMITED. HUDDERSFIELD.
TO Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY.
SHEET NO. 2.
SUBJECT VALVES FOR RADIATORS - 10 LBS PER SQ.IN.

The seating would be screwed into the body on a loose thread making a steam tight joint on a taper surface, as shown in sectional illustration Leaflet 3408 enclosed.

The type of flat faced valve head shown in this illustration is suitable for 'screw-down' design only, and if you are contemplating Thermostatically Controlled Valves, we would recommend the valve head to be of the 'ball' type, as shown on Print 991/9 enclosed.

We trust the information we have given will be useful, and should be pleased to hear from you again if we can help you further in any way.

Yours faithfully,

FOR HOPKINSONS LIMITED.

R. {Sir Henry Royce} C. ARCHIBALD.
