With reference to memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG.23.1.29, requesting that an order be sent to Messrs Hobsons.

The position so far as the Order Office is concerned is somewhat confusing, as it is very difficult to ascertain what has actually been delivered, and of course the tank unit is of no use without the air line and instrument board scale.

From the figures given in yours of 23rd inst. above referred to, are we to take it that in the first place you have had three tank units modified, and that the air line No. 180P has been supplied without the dashboard unit?

The last two items, viz., 1 tank unit 175P and one air line No.175P, also appear to be without dashboard. If this is so are we to understand that you have this unit in your possession, or have Messrs Hobsons still to deliver same?

Can you give us any further information regarding the third paragraph of your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/T16.1.29, in which you state that you are communicating with Messrs Hobsons regarding the second gauge to No. K.S.155 - our blueprint F.55744?
