PROGRAMME OF WORK RECENTLY CARRIED OUT ON WRAITH CARS.

24.G.W1.
Car in Fitting Shop from 13.9.37 to 21.9.37. Raised engine mounting tests and position for taking torque.
Rear engine mounting tests with cross member attached to side members instead of cross in the frame, and moving the whole mounting forward underneath the gearbox.
Brake tests - relined with J.Z. material, tests for efficiency, squeaks and thumps.
Suspension tests - altered front springs.
Ignition tests with R.R. 15,000 and 20,000 turn coils, Lucas coils, reversed polarity and new type sparking plugs.

Car in fitting shop from 1.8.37 to 3.9.37.
Car away with Mr. from 4.9.37 to 18.9.37.
Car handed over to Mr. on 22.9.37.
Car in fitting shop on 23.9.37 for:-
Examination of clutch for slip.
Fit new front road springs.
Reline brakes.
Adjust brake ropes correctly.
Fit 25/30.HP. type front engine mounting to SCO.22.

Car received on test after mileage in France on 13.9.37.
Carburettor tests for consumption.
Petrol pump tests thro' water splash and in cold chamber.
Investigation of knock in steering - found in faulty fitting of H/S. front hub-made O.K. by fitters.
Investigating position of engine mounting to give static equilibrium of power unit.
Engine mounting tests in conjunction with effect on steering with torque rubbers fitted at bottom of engine timing case.
Tests with new type undershields.
