The whole of the electrical equipment on the car including Magneto, Dynamo, Starter Motor, Sraking Plugs, Battery, Lamps, and Switchboard are made by the S.E.V. Co. France. The Dynamo is driven through gearing off the engine. The Dynamo runs at 1.3 times the engine speed. The Dynamo commences to charge when the engine is turning 400 R.P.M. On the road it cuts in about 10 M.P.H. The dynamo is very good in silence. As the engine and gearbox are all in one unit, it is impossible for us to see the mechanism for operating the Starter but by how it worked one would say that a Bendix pinion was used. The Starter was operated and engaged by pressing a small button on the switchbox. The Contd. | ||
