Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}3/L27315. 2. bonded Orme Evans square tube (5" thick) which weighs 106 lbs, and this must make it less likely to give way and must also lighten the work on the radiator brackets. The radiators (square tube Orme Evans) now being fitted to some of the production chassis are bonded. The Marston radiator seems to be a good type for aero work owing to its light weight and cooling efficiency combined with strength. We are now commencing to bump an Orme Evans square tube radiator made with English drawn tubes as this is a new departure, the previous make of tubes now being unobtainable owing to the war, and the new supply not being very good in quality at present. | ||
